All nursery school children in Hanoi have access to new educationprogrammes that improve their self-motivation, the municipal Departmentof Education and Training has said.

According tothe department’s Deputy Director Pham Thi Hong Nga, after four years ofimplementing the new programme and three years of applying a set ofstandard curricula for 5-year-old children, Hanoi ’s nursery schoolshave gained good results.

Teachers participating inthe programmes have established a better learning environment forchildren. Some use information technology software to organise learningand extracurricular activities, improving children’s engagement andinterest at nursery schools.

To increase the qualityof education in nursery schools, district education and trainingoffices need to continue implementing the programmes, providing parentswith necessary preparations for their children, and improving educationso standards are consistent across the city, Nga said.-VNA
